I received a nice email from a woman today:

"Hello, I had to write to say Thank You!
I just found your art and writing on line and am so moved... Last night I had a dream in which I was staying in an unfamiliar apartment and I found a large black raven in the bathroom.
Later in the dream the Raven seemed to “choose” me and was riding confidently on my shoulder with a wing over the top of my head.
Its energy was joyful, energetic, confident. I had no idea what to make of the dream, so I did some dream work with a dear friend and then got curious to look for images on line of raven and women…and found you! I am humbled and inspired. I have made a commitment with this friend to start a women’s shamanic dream circle that I have been having dreams about for nearly twenty years.
Raven has found me. The time is now. I will show up and hold space to co-create the healing that is here for all beings and creatures. Thank you for being part of my dream-journey-reality. I am grateful for your company, wisdom and beauty on the path. Much love,
Sara"

Something About Angels and Birds
Mythology of Angels existed long before Judaism and Christianity.
Angels also are major figures in Buddhism and Hinduism. Celtic and Norse mythology. And in many Shamanistic legends. But not all of these call these entities "angels", just like not everyone refers to a prayer as a mantra, or a spell of protection a prayer, and so on. We all have our "labels" for what fundamentally are the same things.
In Tibetan Buddhism, devas are sometimes considered to be emanations of bodhisattvas or enlightened beings.
The Divine force is like a major Nuclear power plant and you are a wonderfully constructed crystal chandelier. If you were to plug directly into the core of the power plant, you'd probably be overwhelmed with energy and you just might explode. For those who have not yet learned how to build their own sub-station to handle the massive energy flow from the power plant and filter it into their personal filaments, the Angels step forward to assist.
We see that the angel is a complex image, a composite of bird, goddess, god, and human.
Birds have inspired human beings throughout history with their ability to rise above the Earth. Something about birds soaring through the air stirs our souls, motivating us to rise above our earthly concerns and learn more about a greater world beyond our Earth: the spiritual realm. Birds and angels share a special bond, as well, since both symbolize the beauty of spiritual growth and angels sometimes even choose to appear with wings, like birds.
"Our noteworthy Curatorial Review Committee was most impressed by your superb RAVEN SERIES oeuvre which resonates with a profound visual narrative as you reveal the invisible within the visible. The artistic journey that you portray in your stellar "RAVEN QUEEN" generated a profound sense of symbolism while reflecting an eternal universal message.  We salute you on your expressive "DIGNITARY RAVEN " which reverberates with a dynamic textural sense and powerful visceral shapes.  We were enthralled by the emotive quality of "RAVEN FITTING" which conveys your fine talent as well as a unique artistic vision of capturing the impalpable as you seize the essence of the emotional and physical experience. We commend you on your compositions and their exciting color palette and compelling tonal combinations  Our Committee salutes you on your joie de vivre of your marvelous art and the positive energy of your stellar compositions.  RAVEN SERIES oeuvre which resonates with a profound visual narrative as you reveal the invisible within the visible.
